I've been doing some Google research on "universal laws" this morning and I was horrified to discover how much total BS is being touted as the truth on the internet. In this email to you, I'm going to uncover an incorrect myth about the Law Of Attraction.

Have you noticed that the phrases The Secret and the Law of Attraction have become interchangeable since the launch of the movie The Secret in March 2006?
At the time The Secret was released, I was leading seminars about using the Law Of Attraction, so you can imagine how excited I was about the potential impact that this movie could have on the world.
Here was a mainstream movie that was teaching principles that I had been studying and sharing for 12 years. Now, several years on, the impact of the movie has been enormous, both positive and negative.

On the up side, The Secret has opened millions of minds to what was previously an ‘underground teaching' followed mostly the new-age movement. Better still, it inspired people to try out visualization techniques and dream bigger, which can only be a good thing. Several friends of mine will even testify that the movie was a pivotal turning point in their lives…

The Secret, has its flip side
However, everything, including The Secret, has its flip side - a negative to balance the positive.

So, let's look at the flip side of the rise to fame of The Secret.
Most notably, thousands of people are left wondering why they are still battling to manifest more than just empty parking spaces using the law of attraction.

How do I know this?

Because one of the most commonly asked questions I receive about the law of attraction is "How long does it take to see results?"

How long does it take to see results?

The very nature of this question reveals a faulty belief system that does not support success.
You see, if someone asks you "How long does it take to see results with the law of attraction?" they obviously believe that their results are a product of some force outside of themselves, not a product their own efforts.

Usually people asking this question are secretly hoping that the Law Of Attraction will magically manifest their success for them without them having to actually do anything outside their comfort zone.
They want results from the law of attraction, yet they are not willing to actually DO anything to get those results. They want their brand new red Ferrari to be given to them by ‘the genie' in the sky somewhere!

Let me ask you a question… Do you know ANYONE who you would consider super-successful, who became successful by sitting at home wishing for success?

Of course not!

Sadly, if not properly educated about how the law of attraction really works, the ‘genie worshippers' either end up blaming themselves for their perceived failure or writing off the law of attraction altogether - Neither of which moves them forward in life.
OK, OK, I know I'm ranting… I'm fed up of all the lies being spread on the internet about how the Law Of Attraction will somehow, magically solve all your problems.

How The Law Of Attraction Really Works

So here's how I know it to work (from experience rather than theory)...
The Law Of Attraction brings opportunities, not end results.

YOU need to ACT on those opportunities in order to get the results you want. The Law Of Attraction only really kicks in when you begin taking massive take ACTION in the world.

It's called co-creation. You take action and ‘show the Universe that you mean business' and the Universe then responds (through cause and effect) with the right opportunities to move you towards your goals fast.

What About Visualization
Visualization plays TWO important roles in getting results with the Law Of Attraction.

1) It reprograms your belief systems so that you go out into the world and actually take the ACTION, instead of procrastinating and worrying about failing.

2) Visualization activates the ‘observer effect' - a Quantum Physics term to describe what happens to subatomic particles (the things that make up the Universe) when we watch them. Simply put, the Observer Effect plays a HUGE role in the process of attraction, which is why visualization is such a powerful tool.

If you are not doing it, you're missing out.

The take away here is that if you VISUALIZE regularly and take ACTION, you'll begin attracting more and moving forwards QUICKLY. As you continue, you'll gain momentum and before long you'll be a lot closer to your goals than where you are now.

Seriously, I dont have one!!!

Are you not going to read on just because I said I don't have one?
Lol... But I will tell you what differs a successful person from a non-successful one! :)

People who wish to succeed will chanced upon any GOLDEN opportunity they come across...maybe it was being offered by a friend...or maybe it was a website they came across online...they would dare to risk it. Pay for any fees involved(of course it has to be reasonable), gain access to the member's area and start working on the instructions given! Even my friends who set up cafes - they definitely did not succeed on the first try, but through trial and errors(marketing,advertising,shop renovation), they definitely were on their way to success!
Well, at least they started making profits..which were the beginner stages of success!

Vice versa, people who can never find success in their life is because they are afraid of losing, afraid of risking. Listen carefully, it's those who didn't even wish to try! Even if the program guarantees 365days 100% money-back guaranteed!! These people are already pushing themselves to the wall without even trying, without even daring to try.
Honestly, these group of people are just belonging to the group who needs a JOB. They need JOB security and risking their money for a new business would be like cheating their money out of them!

Ah-ha! Coming to the topic of scam! A few others have also asked me if I can guarantee they will definitely succeed if they join me? They said they have been scammed before online so they are afraid of scamming again!

Honestly... I've purchased quite a few online programs already and I have not met any that was a scam.
I would say, there might be a few online businesses that does not value up to its costs, but none was a scam. How I would define scam would be if I paid and there was no program or membership assigned to me. But if there was a program that I could work on, then I'm actually paying for this program that was invented by a IT guru! Sometimes I did not make a single cent from the program, while on other programs I did make 10 Times more than I paid for it!
The Bottom Line is, for those of you out there who shouted 'scam' to some of the programs out there, look again. It's NOT a scam if you had access to a program or system or backoffice area. There could be money-back guarantees on it, request for it if the program was not working for you. Anyway, why would you say it's a scam when you're purchasing a program?? All because it was not working for you? But did you see if you acquired the skills required by the system setup? If you could not set it up, dont blame the system, it could be your skills.
If you're a newbie in Internet Business, look for one that is easy to setup.
Ask for opinions if you don't know!

How I Started My Entrepreneurial Journey Online

A Big Hello to you there!

I started this blog back in June 2008 but I have so little posts - ought to be ashamed of myself huh? Actually I didnt realised what purpose a blog serves until I realised it actually is a very FUN thing to do! *smiles*

Going back to where I came from...

I have been working since the age of 20, from a Customer Service Consultant in NOKIA to A Personal Assistant in AIA to an Assistant Accounts cum Admin and finally upgraded to a Finance Executive over total 5years in Accounting line. At this point of time, my salary was above 3k and it supported me well in my expenses. However, I finally realised no matter how high of increments we will get (which is normally slow, a $100 increment every year), the inflation rate just keeps increasing and purchasing power of money will just keep getting smaller ! That was when I decided to stop being in the rat race and Be An Online Entrepreneur!

Starting on my own business made me realised how important Self-development And Relationships are. Also, you tend to fail while doing trial and error online, and this makes you feel un-motivated after a while. That's when I started to read on books such as "The Millionaire Mind" , "The Secret" , "Law of Attraction. We were born with prosperity and deserve it. It's only what our mindsets are, and whether we have the courage to overcome the many obstacles that come our way. If we give up easily, we will never reap the rewards we want to!

I spent about 1 year trying to get everything started up. Creating my own websites, working on the different marketing strategies being taught to me. Because I didnt have a good mentor, so I had no one to turn to whenever I met problems. To overcome that, I started to become a Problem Solver. And having played that role, I was a rank higher than most of my friends. I say this is because I chose the Entrepreneur path because I had so many problems to solve and I was a solver, while most of my friends just rely on a JOB to pay their expenses. And they didn't even realised that what they earned was an exchange of their precious time. Everytime their salary was IN, they withdraw and used almost 50% of it to pay off their expenses. And then, they start to look forward to their next payday!!

In fact, I should be thankful to them because from them being my living examples, I realised I didn't want to be part of the rat race but instead to be The One pulling Others OUT of the race! Slowly, Mentally, Bravely, I became a Leader, a Mentor, A team player!

I'm now official out of the rat race!
And having said that, I love my current life! I live my life to the fullest, I dare to dream because I know my dreams will come true! My current goal in life now is to help as many as the friends out there who would like to get started online... A lot of different goals I came across..

give my loved ones a better life ...
want to live life on the high end ...
get out of the rat race ...
learn how to build an online business with a low budget but don't know how ...
build schools for the poor in the poor countries ...
want to own a website and not sure what to promote after that ...
achieve financial freedom...
want to be a business owner but need capital ...
and the list goes on ... ... ...

If you realised a lot of things we want to do in life, it all needs MONEY. Money is not the root of all evil. Actually it was used to be a lot of good deeds, because of money, a lot of lives has been saved. But of course, the baddies also exist. But if there were no baddies, then there won't be good people! Just remember, there is 2 sides to everything! =)

Because of a lot of goals I see in my friends that seem to be unachieveable to them, that's how I decided to be an Online Business Mentor. I just want to help others, guide them to success. When they have succeeded, they become my living testimonials! And that makes me happy to see them living happily with their family! *smiles*

"Trading psychology is the most important aspect of a trader's success. This may surprise some readers, specifically those that are new to trading. However, the psychological makeup of a trader is more important than market knowledge, market analysis, and even money management. The reason psychology is so important is that even the best information can be distorted by a poor mindset.

Most new traders think the key to profiting in trading is knowing more about the market. For instance, most new traders clog their screens with every indicator they can find, read up on European GDP trends, and feel that pro traders have some sort of secret knowledge. However, this inevitably does not provide the lofty results the novice trader expects to achieve.

After realizing that excessive market information doesn't help (and may hurt) results, the next moment of truth most traders have is money management. Instead to trading 1 lot every time, or even trading the maximum lots their account will allow, these traders realize losses will happen no matter what. When you realize that everyone loses on occasion, it is easy to see why money management is necessary. This is a big step, but does not ensure success.

Now, don't get me wrong, you need to have some form of analysis and some form of money management to profit in the long term. In other words, you need an edge that when applied with proper money management leads to positive returns over the course of many trades. Great money management with no edge will only mean you lose your money more slowly. A great strategy without money management will lead to an inevitable blow up. However, without the proper mindset, it is nearly impossible to continue to get good results in the long run.

The bottom line is that a poor mindset can sabotage even the best trading strategy or money management strategy. I could write about this at great length, but we will look at one key example for now. The biggest test in trading psychology occurs during a drawdown. This occurs when a trader gets in a "slump" and has bad results for a given period of time. Usually the most devastating drawdowns eliminate a significant amount of a hard earned profit.

Keep in mind, draw downs are completely normal. Everyone has them on occasion. However, the key is reacting properly to drawdowns. This is why trading psychology is so important. The natural reaction during a drawdown is to change your strategy. Sometimes traders will even take trades for no reason whatsoever except for a desperate chance at a profit. Assuming you believe your methodology is sound, there is no reason to change anything during a drawdown. In fact, that is the most important time to follow the basics. Think about a baseball hitter in a slump. Sometimes they will change their stance, but usually they keep the same basic stance and swing. Instead, they focus on the fundamentals of keeping their head still, keeping their hands back, and so on. For some reason traders tend to panic in this situation and change everything up. This leads to a larger drawdown, which usually ends when the trader reverts back to their primary strategy.

In conclusion, the steps above illustrate the general process a trade takes on the road to achieving consistent results. Virtually all traders only become successful after they able to put together a strategy that gives you an edge, money management, and proper trading psychology."

"When most people start trading, they do not put much thought into their trades. They will either buy or sell a currency pair (probably the EUR/USD) because they think they see a trend or maybe even because they put a moving average on the chart. Sometimes there is no reason at all for the trade, they just want in. Either that trade nets a small profit or the trades starts going against the new trader. The trader that gets the small profit will feel invincible and likely base trades in the near future on the same reason as the first one. Of course they expect every trade to win. The trader whose position moves against them leaves their position open,stares at their computer without blinking,and laments that they will get out if the market only goes back to break even.

Sooner or later, the trader who won their first trade puts on a loser and acts much like the trader above who lose their first trader. After a large loss to the account, the trader then puts on a large position trying to win it back. Inevitably that trade crushes their account, or a trade soon after will. Sound familiar?

The reason that new trades blow out their account is that they assume trading is easy, they don't realize the role their emotions play in trading with real money, and they have no trading plan. Well, it doesnt take long to learn on your own that trading isn't easy, so we won't spend too much time discussing that. However, using a consistent trading plan is the only way to reign in your emotions and develop consistency in your trading. If you enter at random places and exit when your "gut" tells you to, you are in for a lot of pain.

Every remotely successful trader I have ever spoken with has a trading plan. These traders do the same thing every time, occasionally tweaking one aspect of their plan at a time. Trying to change everything at once makes it impossible to tell what is working and what is not. We will go through the important aspects of a trading plan below.

First off, I believe it is imperative to identify your entry, stop, and profit target(s) before entering every trade. If you try to determine your exits once you enter the trade, your emotions will skew your views of the facts unless you are a robot. If the exits are planned before entering, it is tough for your emotions to screw you up. By placing your exits in the system when you enter the trade, it is much easier to stay disciplined to your plan. Another advantage is that you don't have to stare at your computer 24 hours a day waiting for a place to exit.

I also feel it is important to know your risk:reward ratio before entering a trade. How on earth can you determine your risk:reward ratio if you don't plan your stop and profit target(s) before entering the trade? It can't be done. To measure this ratio, simple divide the distance between the entry and the profit target by the distance between the entry and the stop. Everyone's concept of a "good" risk:reward ratio varies, but I prefer to have a risk:reward ratio around 1:1.5.

Once you have planned your entry and stop, you can also determine your position size. Your position size should generally be the same percentage of your equity each trade. Most traders risk 1-3% on each trade, using the same percentage for every trade. In other words, all trades are weighted equally. The same amount of capitals should be risked on a trade with a 300 pip stop as a 30 pip stop. In order to determine your position size, simply multiply your total equity by your percentage risk per trade(typically 1-3%), which is the amount of money you should risk per trade (X). Next, multiply the number of pips between your entry and stop by the currency's pip value (Y). You can also draw a line from your entry to stop using the value calculator to get Y. Then divide X by Number Y to get the number of lots you should trade. Once you practice this, it is easy.

The methodology we use (geometric pattern recognition) makes it very easy to follow this plan. Everything is already planned out, all you need to add is your total equity and percentage you want to risk for each trade (typically 1-3%). By planning your trades out before you enter you can now trade on any time frame because you are risking the same amount for each trade. This will lead to much more consistent results that using static numbers when determining position size. "
